Quotations

Quoting, revising and converting to an invoice.

What do the quotation statuses mean?

Draft is not sent yet; sent is awaiting a response; negotiating means the buyer countered; accepted and rejected record their decision; expired means the validity date passed; converted means it became an invoice or sales order.

Do quotations expire on their own?

If you set a valid-until date, yes โ€” the quotation moves to expired once that date passes, so an old price cannot be accepted months later.

Is a quotation a tax document?

No. A quotation is a commercial offer and does not affect your GST position. It becomes a tax invoice only when you convert it.
