The EPF interest rate for FY 2024-25 is 8.25% per annum. The rate is declared annually by the EPFO and has ranged between 8.1% and 8.65% in recent years.
Both employee and employer contribute 12% of basic salary plus DA. Out of the employer's 12%, 8.33% goes to EPS (Employee Pension Scheme) and 3.67% to EPF. The employee's entire 12% goes to EPF.
